New Tumble Blaster for Shropshire Powder Coaters

Shropshire Powder Coaters has purchased a Tumble Blaster to aid in the speed and efficiency of shot blasting smaller items.  The purchase has increased the capacity of items that we can shot blast at the plant and is an addition to the manual shot blasting booth the Company already uses.  There are three reasons that we shot blast steel.

• To remove unwanted paint, oil, grease or heavy rust etc so that items can be re-coated.
• As part of our pre-treatment when powder coating mild steel that has not first been galvanized.
• To grit blast steel before galvanizing.  This is only required to help produce a thicker zinc coating than that required by the BS EN ISO 1461 (2009) standard for hot dip galvanizing.
