Hereford Galvanizers recently hosted a charity event at their Hereford head office where employees baked cakes, biscuits, buns, etc and then fellow employees and customers alike were encouraged to buy them in aid of the charity The Haven.
Our photograph shows Hereford Galvanizers’ very own Sabrina Trapletti displaying some of the baked goods on offer. The Mothering Bunday event was held on Monday 16th March to coincide with the nationwide event that was held the previous day (Mothering Sunday).
The sale of cakes raised £95 for the charity which was matched by the Company to create a donation of £200. Thanks to everyone who took part. We will now need a charity fun run to help lose the pounds gained by all those cakes.
The Haven is a charity founded by Sara Davenport in 1997. The idea for the charity came following the experience of a close family friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer. There are over half a million people in the UK now living with breast cancer and this figure is expected to double by 2030. The Haven are leading experts in the delivery of complementary therapies for offering relief to breast cancer patients and their families. There is a Haven centre in Hereford.
